There will be a Memorial Mass for Theresa Otor, mother of Father Patrick Otor, on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 12noon at St. Benedict the Moor. Mrs. Otor passed Sunday, December 29, 2024 in Nigeria. May God grant her eternal rest & peace!

The Knights of Columbus, Bishop Gross Council 1019, donated puffer jackets to the children of our Community Outreach Program. Thanks to them the jackets came right on time to help keep our kids warm during the arctic freeze. God bless them and their ministry.

Celebrating a special occasion? Honoring a loved one? Say it with flowers. The 2025 Altar Flowers Calendar is available in the back of the church. Please sign for the Sunday you would like to provide flowers for the altar or call the office to reserve flowers.

A heartfelt welcome to our newest parishioner, Mia Alexandria Hill. Mia was baptized here on August 3rd and is pictured with her parents Melanie Evans and Alex Hill.

The Knights of Columbus hosted its annual Seminarian and Religious Appreciation Dinner on Friday, July 12th. The Most Reverend Stephen D. Parkes, D.D., Bishop of Savannah, was the guest speaker and St. Benedict The Moore was well represented.

Heartfelt congratulations to Neal Brooks! He was honored with the Margot Bradley Service Award at the Deimel Legacy Ball, Saturday January 27, 2024 held at Christ the King Catholic Church.

St. Benedict The Moor parishioners enjoyed an outing to the Festival of Lights at Calloway Gardens. The group enjoyed fun and fellowship, caroling and a magnificent light show.

Members of St. Benedict, along with Fr. Patrick Otor, attended the Mass celebrating National Black Catholic Month at St James Catholic Church in Savannah. Our poster presentation depicted our stained glass windows of black saints.

The Knights of Columbus donated jackets to the Outreach Program to be distributed to school age children. Thank you to the Knights of Columbus!!
