Maintenance

The Maintenance Committee is a hands-on working team of women and men with an eye
for preventative maintenance and good stewardship of our Church home and grounds.  In
an attempt to manage well the good-working order of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems is hoping to guantee safety for church members and guests.  The work is layered and
involves networking with the Pastoral and Finance Councils when needed, and collaborating
with other committees.   As we attempt to model shared co-responsibility for the use of our
church and hall facilities, we will be developing a clearer protocal of what is expected when
opening, cleaning or securing the buildings.

• an arm of this committee is the weekly cleaning and sanitizing of the Church. this is done by volunteers who rotate their time once a month.  Always room for more help.
• the church and hall properties are surrounded by lawns, sidewalks and streets that need a weekly canvassing for trash pick-up.
• church linens need washing and ironing on a monthly basis. Looking for a volunteer?
• caring for the plants and flowers along with help in seasonal decorating for the liturgical year is an important job that sets the environmental tone for worship.
