The Council of Catholic Women were founded in 1920 by the U.S. Catholic Bishops to provide all Catholic women a common voice and an instrument of unification within the Church. CCW encourages women to join together to serve the Church, develop spiritually, improve leadership skills, and enjoy the fellowship of other women.
We are proud to have an active Council here at St Benedict the Moor that participates with other councils from neighboring Catholic Churches in Columbus: St. Anne, Our Lady of Lourdes, Holy Family and Christ the King. CCW responds to to the values of the Gospel and to the needs of the Church and societal issues in the modern world.
